Candidates registering for AFCAT registration are required to pay Rs. 250/- as exam fee.
AFCAT 2 2023 Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria for posts in the Ground Service and Flight Divisions at AFCAT 2 2023 are as follows:
AFCAT Age Limit
(i) Flying Branch: Applicants must be at least 20 years of age and the upper limit for flying branches is 24. The age limit for candidates with a valid and current commercial pilot license from DGCA (India) may be reduced to 26 years.
(ii)Ground Duty (Technical/Non-Technical) Branches: The minimum age for ground service is 20 and the maximum is 26.
Note: Applicants under the age of 25 must be unmarried at the time of admission. Widows/widows and divorcees (with or without liability) under the age of 25 are also ineligible.
AFCAT Educational Qualification
Flying branch: At least 50% of Level 10+2 physics and mathematics credits and a 3-year degree or a BE/BTech degree with at least 60% from a recognized university.
AFCAT 2023 Eligibility Criteria for Ground Duty (Technical)Branch:
(i)Aeronautical engineering (Electronics)(AE(L)): At least 60% of Level 10+2 physics and mathematics credits and an engineering and technology degree/postgraduate degree from a prestigious university.
AFCAT 2 2023 Selection Process
Indian Air Force will send an invitation letter to all candidates who pass AFCAT 2 2023 to apply for second stage selection. H. AFSB test is displayed.
AFSB Testing Stage 1
It includes the following 2 tests:
Officer Intelligence Rating Test.
Picture Perception and Discussion Test (PP&DT)
Candidates who fail Level 1 exams are called selective exams and are rejected and not assigned to the AFSB Level 2 exams.
AFSB Testing Stage 2
All Level 1 qualified candidates must sit for AFSB Level 2 and take the following tests:
Psychological Tests: These are written psychological tests administered by professional psychologists.
Group Tests: These tests include mental and physical activity to assess candidates on various mental and physical parameters.
AFSB Interview: In this round, interviewers conduct face-to-face interviews with candidates.
Computerized Pilot Selection System (CPSS) Test: This test is mandatory only for candidates applying for the Flying Branch.

Medical Examination
Invite the nominated candidate for a medical examination. The Indian Air Force has only two centers where medical examinations are prescribed. Aeronautical Medical Research Institute and Air Force Central Medical Entity (AFCME) in Bangalore. After a medical examination, a final achievement list will be created based on the grades obtained by the candidates in written and AFSB interviews. All finalists will receive an admission letter from each training academy to which they have applied.

- Final year cadets receive a scholarship of Rs 56,100.
